La moitie des Libyens et Libyennes auraient besoin d’aide humanitaire, selon l’etude realisee a la fin de l’annee 2021 par l’ONG Reach Initiative, basee a Geneve et cofondee par l’ONU. Dans les regions rurales du Sud et oubliees du pouvoir central, ce pourcentage atteint 90 %. Un tiers de la population est incapable de payer ses depenses de sante. En principe, le systeme de sante est gratuit, mais l’hopital public est exsangue, apres la decennie de guerres civiles qui a dechire le pays.
